Comprehensive behavioral health services supporting lasting recovery and clinical well-being.

Although we specialize in eating disorder treatment at our center, we are fortunate to have a talented professional staff with diverse expertise and interests. In addition to our eating disorders program, our office provides general psychotherapy services for the Athens area community.

We offer individual and group treatment designed to support men and women navigating life’s later transitions. Focus areas include retirement, relationships with adult children, grandparenting, healthy living, and successful aging.

This group addresses the unique needs of individuals with binge eating disorder, who may also struggle with obesity and conflicting goals around intuitive eating and weight loss. It supports a non-diet approach to healthy eating and living, often serving an older, underserved population.

We provide individual and group treatment for young people facing life’s challenges. Topics include healthy relationships, coping skills, self-esteem, and school success. Play therapy is also offered for younger children who may struggle to express themselves verbally.

The psychological component of pain is well established. We use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with hypnosis, meditation, interpersonal therapy, and relaxation techniques as effective approaches to pain management and as adjunct support in clinical pain programs.

Clinical hypnosis is used for habit change, smoking cessation, pain management, personal development, and stress reduction. It can also support treatment for depression and anxiety as part of a broader therapeutic plan.

Our clinical staff provides psychotherapy for depression, anxiety, addiction, stress-related issues, personality difficulties, and other emotional or behavioral concerns that interfere with daily life and overall well-being.

We offer comprehensive psychological assessments, including ADHD, pre-bariatric surgery evaluations, learning disabilities, and substance abuse evaluations. We use current, evidence-based psychological assessment tools for accurate and reliable results.
