Structured treatment programs designed to support a full sustainable healing journey.

Admission for treatment at the EDRCA begins with a three-stage process consisting of an intake interview, a comprehensive psychological eating disorders assessment, and a follow-up interview/feedback session. We utilize validated assessment instruments to help formulate recommendations for an individualized treatment plan.
In the intake interview, medical history, psychological history, family history, and the history and symptoms of the eating disorder are assessed as part of the initial evaluation process.
Following the intake interview, a psychological assessment is administered using empirically validated instruments. These assess eating disorder symptoms and socioemotional functioning. The information is integrated into a psychosocial report and reviewed in a clinical staff meeting to formulate treatment recommendations.
The client is scheduled for a follow-up session where assessment findings are explained. Recommendations for treatment are presented clearly, supporting understanding and next-step planning.

Each individual presents unique characteristics and symptoms that can vary widely. EDRCA assesses every client as a single individual. Recommendations are based on factors contributing to severity, maintenance of the disorder, and likely response to treatment.
All programs are designed around the philosophy that recovery is most effective when it occurs within the context of an individual’s life. We work closely with clients to create treatment plans that allow continuation of school, work, and family life with minimal disruption.
